June is African-American Music Month
African-American musicians have left an indelible mark on the soundtrack of our communities. During African-American Music Appreciation Month, the library will pay special tribute to their extraordinary contributions with a special performance by jazz ambassador, Skipp Pearson at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20 at Richland Library Main. Pearson’s foundation is instrumental in promoting the art form of live jazz music and providing performance opportunities for young musicians.
