Summer reading keeps your mind sharp and helps young readers avoid the “summer slide.” The Richland Library Friends sponsor Richland Library's Summer Reading Challenge to foster reading in children during the summer months. We encourage you to challenge yourself to read your way through the summer!

Children, teens, and adults can participate in the Friends' Summer Reading Challenge between June 1 and August 17, 2013. Sign up below or stop by any library location and tell a librarian you want to challenge yourself to read every day!

The Richland Library Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising support for library programs.

Sign Up Online Between June 1 and August 17, 2013

  • Read-to-Me (for babies and young children)
  • Children (for children who are reading on their own up to age 12)
  • Teens (for ages 12-18)
  • Adults (18+)
  • Celebrate Your Success!

    Return your completed reading records to any Richland Library location throughout the summer. Children will be presented with a reading medal to celebrate their success!
