Honor Hispanic Heritage Month by journeying through the culture with the help of Richland Library's Lotería.
Play Richland Library's Lotería!
Background: Lotería, a Spanish word translating to "lottery," bears resemblance to the numbers game Bingo. In Lotería, players hold cards adorned with 16 images, striving to align four pictures in either a row or column on the "tabula." These images are drawn from a deck of 54 cards by the announcer. When a player successfully completes a pattern of four matching images, whether vertically, diagonally, or according to predefined patterns, they declare "Lotería!" while marking the images with token beans.
Tip: After you watch the 'Encanto,' stream the karaoke version of the soundtrack, on Hoopla, to sing to your favorite songs from the film!
